  • Hi all,
Sorry to interfere, my father also had a letter from ESA saying he was awarded 0 points And I am fuming
My father suffers from athritis from donkeys years with restricted body movement,he was meant to have an operaton but he was too afraid, he suffers from depression and gets very frustrated and irritant most days and usually talks and talksfor hours on end to himself.
BTW he had been self employed for the last 25 years up until 2007 in his own food restaurant.
I have been reading the forum upto so far and now my blood is boiling!
I will go and see his GP with him tomorrow meanwhile what reasons can I put on his appeal as our CAB has ceased service (government cuts :-S).
    TIA

    Wacs
Assalamu alaikum. May Allahs blessings be upon you

That's because the government had no money left. Big debts problem. The government want all of us get back into work as I know some of us who are GENUINE illness and was award 0 point is disgraceful, disgusting and the only way is to FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT back and bite the government!

Labour Ed Midiband want ATOS medical to be scrapped and he will if he win the election in 2015.

    Vote for LABOUR PARTY.

TORIES want all benefits cut into 1 benefit in 2015 and that is JSA only. DON'T VOTE THE TORIES!

Miliband wont scrap the medical process, do you have a link to your claim?

It was labour that introduced atos and the ESA mess in the first place.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that

Might be worth asking the GP if she thinks the assessor failed in their duty of care/ethical duties with regards to the report? Perhaps if she does, she would be willing to either file a GMC complaint herself, or provide evidence so you could?

    Appeal it.

Many decisions are being overturned when they know you will appeal a decision.

Ask for a GL24, and give reasons for your appeal.

Have a look at the descriptors:

I cant recall who was the pm at the time, think it was Brown but basically labour introduced it, and the tories lied and claimed credit for it.
And have carried on with it....

I have all the letters from the consultants regarding the obstructive sleep apnoea as it was a private hospital that is dealing with it, but no letters regarding the knee, I actually need a knee replacement, but Im too young at 54 so I have been told.

I have just had (3 weeks ago) a total knee replacement at the grand old age of 55 and, in a couple of months (depending how I manage with this one) the other knee is going to be done.
I was being treated for 'mild arthritis' with paracetamol and occasional codeine phosphate when I asked the doctor for an x ray. The result, severe arthritis in both knees, both needing to be replaced urgently.
I have never claimed any benefits (didn't think I'd have much chance of being awarded any for 'mild arthritis'), now I'm hoping I don't need to apply for anything if the new knees do the job they're supposed to do.
So if I were you outtawork, I'd try for the knee op.

Did you pay for the knee op or was it done on the nhs. As the pct won't fund a knee replacement based on my age. what of course would help is losing weight, so they are funding a gastric band.I meet the criteria for that based on the obstructive sleep apnoea.
