  • When I look at my current assignments page, there is no date of shop, just a due date?
Where does it say what date the shop was booked in for?

You can do it any day up to the due date to suit yourself

Does anyone do video for PIP? Is it like normal MS where jobs are online and can self allocate, or do they assign work to you and expect you to be free? I have been asked to go on a training day but the wording of the email makes it sound a bit like you must be free all the time and never have any other commitments - not sure if that is just to make sure you are serious or if they really will own me!

Might have bitten off more that I can chew with a job. One of those ones were I need to take photos without permission in a staffed bit of a shop. Hmm. Do you ever stop being scared of getting caught in this job? I've only done a couple of thousand visits!

If I have to do that, I just fiddle about with my phone and I've never been caught ;)
Here I go again on my own....

I work for them have for a while they give you an allocation every month and you have so many days weeks etc to complete you can hand work back but ideally you fit it in.

They don't like you cherry picking and you will be expected to cover a large area for example in inverness last week this week newcastle hth

Thank you. That sounds quite reasonable. If I can plan work over a period that suits me quite well as I can arrange to do it on days that I have childcare etc. I'm going to take the plunge and see how I get on...

Gap quoted the same 'rule' to me and when I queried it, they said there was no discretion. Gutted because there was a massive premium on a job a mile away from me!
  • Well Jen, I live in Manchester but will be in Cambridge all day Thursday and East London most of Friday.
But since I have no idea who you are or who you represent I'll give it a miss thanks.
  • Trevs super tip of the day:
Never look up an MS location on google maps, think "Oh that's not too far, I think I'll cycle there".
Get out a paper map and see how far it really is.

    DOH!

    I'm knackered.

Oh and don't lose your receipt on the way home and have to re-shop it the next day either.

Most importantly: Don't combine the two and really mess your day up

Oh dear Trevor, how did you manage to lose your receipt?

I hope you didn't cycle there again the next day as well!!
