    hi guys,

Trying to get something sorted with Bare, does anyone have a contact number of someone helpful who I could speak to there?

    Thanks

Don't know if you still need a number but I have 0203 355 9265 in my phone. I've used it before and it works. HTH :)

For those who have done the Egg shop visit, do you ask the staff name? I normally read the badge. Yesterday the staff who helped me with my enquiry didn’t even look up to acknowledge me, and directed me very fast so I couldn’t see the badge. I know in answering the question it says the name required but nothing in the instruction notes which says ask for the name, so I am confused! I just gave description.

    Thanks in advance

No don't ask for names as it just makes you stand out, as already advised just get a full description and make a note in the narrative about what happened. It's not that uncommon for staff to either not to be wearing a badge, it being obscurred by hair or an overgarment or you only getting a flash of it for a few secs.

I had one where the staff member wore her name badge clearly and her name went out of my mind as soon as I left the store. I just said she was wearing a name badge but it was my fault I forgot her name. Gave her description and still got paid.:o

Thanks that why I asked, as I did different ones for different MS companies some of them state to ask for the name if you can't obtain it. It just occurred to me, when I was typing the results it says required in brackets so I got confused.

What about assignments that specifically ask you to name the staff? For those, are they usually happy with a full description of must they require the name to get paid?

Just to add, I didn’t ask because, there was nothing in my instructions that says obtain name by all means. I was going to use that if it got back to me, I remember doing jobs for GFK and they wanted a name and business card, and if you can’t get it you ask for it.

  • Aaah relief. All 15 done. 5 reports submitted (the other 10 are by phone on Monday), sitting back home with a beer and a keyboard.

BTW. Had the most amazing reimbursable lunch today. Eggs benedict with spinich and watercress on toasted french muffins washed down with a glass of Leffe Bruin. Heaven.
And I didnt have to do any egg shops to get it lol.

If you are required to get a name and it's a failed shop if you don't it will make it clear in the brief. On some of the retail eyes electronics jobs you must get details on headed paper and there are jobs with other MSC that are actually targetting a specified member of staff so in those instances it's more important but like I said it will say in the brief.

You obviously want to aim at getting names but if for whatever reason that is not possible then as long as you have a good description and let the MSC know it will be usually be OK. Most of the time you'll be able to get names without any trouble and IMO it's best not to get too hung up on it if a name badge is not visible as it could impact on the other parts of the brief you have to remember to follow. :)
