Yes, you don't need to worry about trying to fill out the report in the timeframe, if that's what you mean.
I think Gapbuster say the results should be entered within 8 hours of doing the job if I remember correctly!
Hope that makes it less stressful for you for next time.

Yes, it does. I think I'd read something about having to do it immediately and by 9pm.. I was frantically typing at 8:58 and panc was rising :o <Facepalm>

That can't be right, can it? I've not yet had to complete an assignment by 8pm and then have to submit the report by 9pm.

they probably mean the paper questionnaire. quite a few co's say to fill in your paper copy immediately out of sight so that you dont forget stuff by the time you get home later to fill in online

  • Hello. I've just signed up to a couple and I just needed a bit of help with something - hope it's ok to post on here.

With one company it says Fee £13 and that I've got to use that £13 to buy what they tell me to.
So I use this £13 out of my money first I guess until 'pay day'. But what do they pay me to DO this? Am I making sense? lol.
Or is the Fee what they'll pay me and it's just a coincidence that fee and purchase price is the same?
 Thank you to everyone!

Normally the amount for a purchase is reimbursement and a fee is the price you are paid for a job. Although fees can include reimbursement, it normally covers with some left over. Read the assignment carefully. Can you give a few (non specific) details?

  • It's always good to check what needs buying and check the fee/reimbursement to see if it will cover it, before accepting the job. If it is eg a pub visit, often the reimbursement doesn’t cover what you have to buy, let alone make you a profit on top. I suppose the idea of doing the job is to get a cheaper/free pub meal. (I can never be bothered with these for that reason).

Other examples, eg gap pizza, you are given a choice of things to buy and you want to go with the one that is cheapest (probably.. ahem*pasta*ahem) to ensure you spend the least and make the most out of your reimbursement. Well, that’s what I do to turn a profit… again you might just want a free/cheaper pizza and that’s your call too :)

There’s usually a loophole where you can buy something cheap and make a profit. Oh and yes, any MS jobs where you have to make a purchase you will have to put the money up upfront so you should bear that in mind with the length of time until payday to ensure you aren’t out of pocket.

  • I've read about the problems with GAP in this thread. Do you think it's worth me starting to work for them? I have signed up and am tempted by some of the fast food assignments, but I'm not sure it's worth doing all the orientation etc questions if I'm not guaranteed a payment?

95% of the time they are fine, but they don't handle it well when they decide not to pay you...they also make it difficult to track what has and hasnt been paid.

If you do sign up with them, the audits can be quite good but if you do go auditing you cant ms the locations for them anymore.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Have got my shipper for the gfk merchandising job - am definitely going to practise first!

The briefing notes mention a letter of authority - am I being very slow in locating it? Is probably available somewhere and I have missed it.

Have found it now - in the questionnaire part :)
