New to this site and wondered if anyone could give me some advice please. I have just been approved as a mystery shopper with Mystery Customer Evaluations - does anyone know anything about them and the type of jobs they have. I do mystery shopping for another company but haven't had much at all in the last few months. MCE ask for you to do reports on microsoft word but the company I work for just now do questionnaires - is it hard to write reports? Do they give you an idea of what they want you to write?

Any info would be very helpful - thanks.

I would not get too excited about this company. I have been signed with them for 18 months and only ever done 2 jobs for them

Re the fleece jobs anyone get a fleece smaller than large? I got a large and it consumes me. I'm a hair shy of 6 foot tall and broad enough across the shoulders but thought I would need a medium, having received it I think a small would have been enough for me.

Evening all. Has anyone had issues with the colourful company on React, and returning the item purchased. Had an issue yesterday in one in a big department store, and was told I couldn't have a refund as it was a sale item. I spoke to Ted who told me to exchange it instead which I did, but just wondering if anyone one else was having this issue, or is it just because it is in the big department store?

It's probably because it was a sale item. I have done these jobs before and I'm certain the briefing notes said not to purchase a sale item, for that very reason.

Another one doing the "fleece" job tomorrow and actually feeling a bit nervous about it. Done a few "one off" things like this job for the company but not a series like this.

Is this something the shops will be used to, "reps" turning up and will they be happy to show you were things are etc that you need? Any suggestions from people about what you should (or should not) say to the manager.

not sure which store this is for, although think i have an idea from a text i got late friday afternoon

but the answer is generally yes
most supermarkets are used to reps turning up.

i do a lot of visits to stores and have never had one of the big ones question what on earth i was doing there on behalf of another company, except perhaps to count trays one time a few years ago (and never again!) for ims despite phoning in advance (any one else do these ?)

and in most cases ive only got a letter of authority ive printed let alone a branded fleece...

RE working for me, to log in at least, not done a job for them over a year so cant check putting in a report

That happens in a lot of shops. They don't let you return sale items unless they are obviously faulty. Briefs sometimes say, "Do not buy sale items." Did it not in your assignment?

Thanks - sounds as if I won't need to worry about the tax man!!!!

I got a sale item and got a refund. The whole selection of kiddies pj's were on sale so not sure what else I could have purchased as that was what I was meant to be buying.
