Had a right headache this weekend with gyp. Had 2 jobs to do in a town near where I live. first burger went fine. second one had the wrong postcode which took me away from the burger I thought it was and another 4 miles down the road. by the time I spoke to someone at gyp (why cant they just have a number you can call them on??) it was out of the timeframe. 40 mile round trip for one burger with half decent premium. Wont pay me for the one I didnt do even though they admit it was the incorrect postcode. did put some extra on to the one I did and have asked me to do one in my city tomorrow with premium. All worked out in the end but had to battle for a few quid!
Moral of the story... not doing any more jobs in that town as the last time was when I got locked in the car park and had to climb over walls. (and crushed my cakes from birds)Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

I know that jobs I've applied for recently have been assigned to me pretty much immediately and that I think it is because I have worked for them for several years and they know that I've never let them down. At the start, everyone is an unknown entity.
Hang on in there :j
Fair enough then I suppose. Think I'll pester them with a few emails.

I saved 2 slots for gapburgers and got the Sunday night phonecall offering me the 2 closest branches to me at 4x regular fee, so am MASSIVELY chuffed. Easy-peasy money!:j Have tried holding out to the end of the month before but never got so lucky, I'm assuming it's because it's Christmas week coming up and they want everything done this week, but am not going to argue anyway. :rotfl:0

The very first burger job I did for them had the wrong postcode and sent me down a residential cul-de-sac 6 miles from the actual location. I worked out where I was supposed to be and got there with seconds to spare, luckily, then told them by email and also in the comment section of the form that the address was wrong.
They still phone me up to try and get me to do the job again almost every week, even though I tell them every time that they've still got the wrong postcode, and it's too far for from my house for me to do at standard rate. It's news to them every time.0 -
Had to run to to the vets just before lunch today, saying to OH that I shall prob just get some form of takeaway for lunch and lo and behold a phone call from gyp offering me lunch! Nice premium, and convenient too.0

I know that Gyp are desperately trying to get all odds n ends tied up this week. so plenty of phonecalls as though its end of the month. They know that they will struggle to get shoppers to travel around over the festive break. Keep your phones on peeps... :-)Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

Haha - I just got exactly the same two jobs offered to me that were offered last night - but this time at 3x the fee! Not sure why they didn't offer that last night. I think the operator was confused. I accepted straightaway, more than happy to pop into town on my lunch and (mostly) throw away some fast food. It’s quiet enough in work this week.
Just checked my burger assignments and I KNEW I had done 6… the guy last night was trying to tell me I’d done 5. No no no. So I’m getting over the 6 maximum limit now it’s near the end of the month – yay for me and my waistline!
I feel quite festive towards gap and their big end of month premiums now
ETA - I've had some of the wrong postcodes before. It's a massive stress. I always google maps the location now and plug the road name/number into sat nav rather than post code.0 -
Hello. I haven't had much time for MS lately, hope to be doing more in the New Year.
I have a GAP Pizza delivery tomorrow, and they offer 2 for 1 on Tuesdays.
Has anyone ever done a delivery on a Tuesday, and did you have any problems from GAP?
I think it would look strange if I just ordered 1 pizza, when the second is free!0 -
