easiest money but costly waste for the company i think, could have scaled back the number of people to 2 if not 1 in the locations i was in...

met one of the competitors in my area today too through doing it though so nice to put a face to a some one who scoped the low paying job i didnt take from ims yesterday lol

re dropping companies, i dont de register but i just dont check them if i dont use them but you never know when you may need to take one again if circumstances change so no harm in keeping account active

yup you have misread it so apologies if my phrasing has led to any confusion.
Im not mocking any one, it genuinely was nice to meet the people I have done over the 2 days and the conincidence was that one of them (possibly you ?!) was the person who had taken a job I had only just posted about previously on here.
I get annoyed (as per mine and others previous posts) at companies who call up asking for urgent jobs, but have no incentives to complete them urgently, especially when they are one offs not near any other jobs to make a circuit, to me its like going to the post office get something sent special delivery next day tracked and only offering to pay 2nd class postage for it...
I fully understand that every one has to make a living and even alerted the person to a RE job literally across the road from where we were that needed doing urgently that day if they wanted it... but neither of us did,.. because the fee was too low...

Hi. I have recently registered on REACT. I have had two apps pending for a month now. Am I doing something wrong? The deadline was Sunday Dec 18, but, I see today they have moved it back a week. Still my app is pending. Any ideas?

Had a call from Gappo yesterday, wanted me to do a burger breakfast assignment in a place I don't work in... said no. Impossible. Then they offered me another burger evening job to be done any day before Thursday. I said, well, is it the normal fee - because I wasn't going to take any jobs this week as I'm so busy? Yes, normal fee. Well, no then.

Bizarre. When there are burger assignments at double/triple fee on the website, plus I've already done 6 (the maximum) and he tried to tell me I'd done 5? I know I've done 6 because I wanted the bonus!

This is one of the reasons I don’t really do much for react, they will sit there until the job has been done “just in case”. Sorry but I have other work I could be doing and am not leaving a space open just in case somebody else lets them down.

But the job is still on heir job board, so will they just keep on taking in applications even when it's been assigned?

As you are new to them, and the deadlines are tighter with it being Christmas, it could be that they are hoping someone who already had a track record with them applies for it.

I know that jobs I've applied for recently have been assigned to me pretty much immediately and that I think it is because I have worked for them for several years and they know that I've never let them down. At the start, everyone is an unknown entity.
