I think the bit people are getting a little confused with is that BARE pay us the exchange rate, as per what it is in Brussels. NOT what it is here in the UK. So although we for example think we are getting it based on for example 23 euros. The amount 23 euros is worth here in the UK is different to what 23 euros is in Brussels.
There might be slight differences at times, but arbitrage soon closes the differences in business exchange rates (ie a currency dealer buys Euros in London, sells in Brussels = turns a profit and the exchange rates move towards an equal footing).
Of course if you're talking about tourist rates then there may well be a difference (just as there is between different places in the UK).0 -
Just done my last shop before Xmas and now have nothing booked bar one dine in January. OMG! What am I going to do now?
Also, I am thinking of starting up a new MS Facebook group (might as well start making my own bizarre requests whilst I am at it eh? LOL), would anyone like to join? Only catch is you have to bring me a pizza each week and feed me it. Any takers?;):rotfl: Just kidding!
Sounds like a great idea count me in0 -
Just had a call from Gap. Wanted me to change my chicken from Sunday to tomorrow lunch as there'd been an 'issue' with the site. Interesting. Wonder what that is...
Anyway they were offering me a 'standard gapburger fee' as additional premium. Thing is, I'd have to go from work rather than home (which is nearer, hence booking on a weekend originally) so the entire premium would be taken up with mileage, so I was a bit like 'Oh... it's a 16 mile round trip' and they added another '50% of standard gapburger fee' on top. Suppose it's better than a poke in the eye (as they say!), they seemed desperate so I wonder if I should have held out for a bit more!? Hoping the fact I did them a favour and wasn't too unreasonable will work in my favour long run.
Two chickens in one day tomorrow :S0 -
Hello, been lurking for a while, and thought I'd post.
I started MSing in August and so far it has been a financial lifeline. I have found plenty of assignments to do so far, but this last week has been very quiet, being new to this I was wondering if this was due to the time of year? Or whether I had 'peaked early' and completed a lot of assignments that will only be offred once or very infrequently?0 -
I haven't any shops booked at all now, so I'd better hope some of my ebay stuff sells this week
Why are there no stamp shops when you need them ??
