Hmmm, Bare is Max's dad's company, and with Max jumping ship at Helion I don't trust any of it. Ever since they've started messing about with people's pay this year (and mine on a jewellery visit which I had to chase on a daily basis) I've stopped working for them. Can see them going belly up.

Michael and Dale Bare own Bare International (Dale is CEO), Ernst Aben was MD of Bare International Europe for a while and also involved in setting up MSPA I think. As far as I know they parted company a long time ago and there is now no link between the 2 companies. Max also worked for Bare.
I also think that there is a problem with Bare Europe and don’t trust them at all at the moment. I have been trying to get hold of them for a while now and am just being given the run-around….next port of call is Dale Bare if nothing turns up on Friday!. I, like many others, won’t be working for them again doing either reimbursement or non-reimbursement jobs.

I thought they were an American company, run by a couple called Bare? Isn't Ernst Aben still at Helion?

I got an email from Ernst at Helion yesterday ... thought they had both left Bare at the same time

Peeps have a look at the letter I posted from Bare a few days ago. I have received contrary advice from people. Now call me a cynic but a company does not have banking troubles that drag on for months and months. Is smacks of not having enough money in the Bank and desperately trying to hang on for some company to pay them!

What is going wrong this month? Catalyst payments have not been made for October either, I know they sent a general email out but that smacks of problems as well! We are now talking the 2nd week of December when you should get payment by the end of November.

Can we write the Bare losses up on the tax return?
No Matter what you do there will be critics.

Really? I haven't received my payment from them yet and normally get paid via Paypal.

Strange, I dont think they are as big a problem as Bare, I really do think they are a one man band type opperation and that the "lady that does the accounts" was off or something. Mine is definitely sorted though so suspect everyone should be soon.

    Agreed,

If people remember the below email was initially sent out by BARE in Feb 2010.

"Meanwhile we are confronted with some disturbing news, which we would like to check with you.

Several mystery shoppers have reported to us that they are being contacted systematically by a new company, Helion Market Research. This company was established by a couple of former employees from our company. We are currently investigating whether they are using confidential information from Bare.

Our question: help us and let us know if you too have been contacted by Helion Market Research. A short e-mail is sufficient.

This will help us to safeguard the future of Bare. And so we will be able to continue our good collaboration for many more years!"

So there was no initial love lost between the 2 (although I imagine they've resolved their differences), let alone there being a remaining financial relationship.

Although I'd agree with some of B.U.N.'s concerns re: BARE, Helion needs to be judged separately on its own merits.

Helion and Bare have no connection. Helion pay their shoppers!

This wont be the first or the last time I write legal letters for people towards BARE. Ever since my issue with them this year where I had to give them threats and then issue a legal note they have been OK with me. But I have since had many PMs off people off many Boards and FB who have asked for my help.

I feel you can return the jewellery since they are breaking their own T&C. by not paying you in the agreed time.

Although from memory the store/brand will only exchange rather than refund for "a change of mind"
