So about 300quids worth of kit. I looked into these but I couldn't justify the outlay.
I'd love to know where you were looking cos mine cost nearly double that. Although it has paid for itself, I am not getting as many jobs as I hoped. I've only had 2 this month and have 2 for next month. I've had really good feedback from the 4 companies I've had work from, but the biggest company does not need anyone in my area. I also suspect that I get the leftovers, which is fair enough as I've only had the camera for a year.0 -
12 weeks and counting waiting to be paid by Secret Shopping Services, anyone got a contact for them? I tried emailing the accounts but the email didn't get through.0

I keep telling myself that. And it took me a good few years to build up the report based side of mystery shopping. I know companies have people already and that it takes time to build a reputation. Its just hard not to get impatient sometimes!
On the bright side, most of my Christmas shopping is done. Just need to work out what to buy my husband. He is really, really good at getting the perfect gift, and I'm really rubbish. Think its supposed to be the other way round :rotfl:0 -
Payment from React and GR into my bank account this morning0

I quite often do this kind of distance. My own personal figures when I started MSing were to earn 50p per mile for the return journey. With the increase in fuel costs I now look to get 'something' over that. It also depends on how long the visit is. I'll go further for a 10 minute job than I will for an hour visit.
I know that's a bit vague and might not be helpful but that's my starting point when I look at a job.
On another note I see there's snow forecast for the weekend.:eek::eek:0 -
ty borders, so would you do it or not? I think I will as I have nothing else planned for today. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

To be fair they've been forcasting "snow at the weekend" since september. Although I could really do without it this weekend I'm out to t'Moors for a visit this weekend. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -
Yeah but where me and borders live there is a good chance of it. Dark by lunchtime here and its been an odd mild cold thats been weird... its rain weather but if it was to drop a few more degrees it would be snow!
I say BRING ON THE SNOW im ready for it and I prefer early winter.0 -

Maybe. I have done similiar. If the job itself isnt too long, if it's not a bad journey, if I can take the dog for a walk somewhere, if I'm bored and need to get out.0
