I've always wondered how many chickens they must get through on a daily, and Yearly basis. Perhaps you could ask them that. And please let me know the answer.
All those restaurants in all those Countries. Must be a lot of chickens. And where do they all come from? It's not as if you see fields full of them is it?

Well.. My uncle's brothers cousins nephew said they have a few giant chickens that are grown in special fields in various countries. Apparently they are as big as houses.
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

Their eggs must be the size of cars then. Stick some wheels on, make a window and a door!!! We've got a car assembly plant, mass scrambled egg producer and enough burgers to keep us mystery shopping forever, all in one package.

    Eggs mate :rotfl:

So the gap chicken jobs and the egg shop kobs have a symbiotic relationship.

Sine qua non... No egg shops = No gap chicken.

Oh, I hate looking at dodgy sounding stuff on Youtube. Ever since I watched a beheading a few years back. Some images you just can't shift from your head.
If I watch what you're suggesting I might never eat meat again, and I like meat. I'm with Aunty and never watch or listen to how meat is processed for fear of being put right off.

That 2 million chickens a day we were talking about, that's just with one chain!! The total figure must be at least five times that (10 million chickens a day?) So say it takes a year for a chicken to be ready for the chop. That's 3.65 billion chickens alive at any one time!! Plus all the battery ones. 7 billion chickens? Where are they all??
Glad to hear that the chickens at least get to flap around a bit though.

Try 6 weeks from egg to slaughter...."free range" ones grow more slowly so are slaughtered at around 8 weeks

Sounds a hell of a lot doesn't it. But when you consider that there are now nearly 7 billion humans and that if you crammed them all together in the same place they would not even cover an area the size of London then maybe the 7 billion chickens are going to be trickier than we think to track down. At least we know where 3.65 billion of them will be in the next 12 months though. :)

Seriously though. That little stat about the area taken up by the whole of humanity highlights the fact that population growth is not a problem with where to put us all but moreover what to feed us all. We probably need more chickens ;)

This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Or under the front seats of the car. Bet there's loads of them hiding under those too.
