Whoops. Well I took a bit of a back burner on the MSE front.

I still have a HM which I'm not a massive fan off, needs must and all.

My bank (NW) now has my mortgage amount listed and so I can see how much I've paid.

I've got like £2,500 to pay off til I'm at a nice round figure. Will aim for that for christmas. I've just read about someone having a 1% challenge. I'm going to try and save/ earn 1% of my OD and then will attack the mortgage.

I'm planning on going to OZ next year (april) so that will need some planning. and Christmas! 6 months to go. Jeese. theres a lot that I need to save for!

    Oh well.... can only try.

So, I've checked my HSBC account and its stands at £1300 OD. Sad face. BUT I think if I'm careful this month and pay my savings into the account then make an extra £150 on ebay that I might have it cleared by the end of next month. !!!!!!!g happy about that! Once thats done I'm going to be using what I should have been saving for the OD etc on doing up the house. Its not really mortgage free in the short term. BUT, this is me rambling out loud as it were. My mortgage is due for renewal in 18 months. If I can increase my LVR then I can get a lower rate (hopefully) and then I can overpay more? My budget is pretty tight and the flat is pretty horrible, its just cosmetic but still....

I'll have to have a ponder I think.

So, 'Stinky Pete' (my HM) is moving out. 10 points if you get the toy story reference.
I really dont want another housemate but I do want the extra money in my account. Oh what to do....

So I've started decorating and paint is on offer.

My OD is still massive and my wage is tiny.
    Grumble grumble grumble.

So Stinky Pete left this weekend. His room is vile. the carpet is stained and that smell is still there. His uncle is coming over to paint the room and then I think I'll put a new carpet in and move into it myself (all being well smell wise).

I get paid on Friday and cant wait!

I will miss the money but I will LOVE having the place back to myself!
decided to move furniture around yesterda. Yep, i decided on the hottest day of the year. But boy am I happy about it now. I was fed up about having to 'hide' all my stuff as he didnt like it out.

Good Lord I'm rubbish at this!

So, I've just renewed (I think) my mortgage for another 2 years. Its now 28 years and one month. Wonderful.

    My rate is now 3.49%.

My payment has gone down by £20 is a month (was 3.89%) and theres no fee and a £100 bonus.

I'm still horribly into my HSBC overdraft but have now taken sky off and put that into my NatWest account so any money that goes into there is paying down the debt and the interest.

I'm clearing out my flat, slowly but there is progress. I'm using a fair amount of the FB sites to sell rubbish on. Its not as quick as ebay but no fees!

and thats it for anyone who is still reading, thanks for popping by!

Any advice on how people motivate themselves would be greatly appreciated! I dont want the mortgage forever and I dont want to live where I live forever either!

So I cancelled Sky tv today.

Should save me £22 a month plus £13 tv licence but they then put my internet bil up by £2.50 because I'm not a tv customer. Fine. Its done. I'm still £30ish a month better off.

Next is to phone the water company and see if I can stay on my tarriff but they reduce it (I have crohns and well.... I use the toilet a lot) but I dont want to be metered.

The water company was useless.... they couldnt tell me how much they would cap my water bill at but I'd have to move accross to metered anyways to get the cap. errr. thanks!

Still no further along with getting the flat sorted.

Decided I'm taking my Papa out for a nice dinner when I get paid. Think he needs the treat.

Had the mother of all arguments with my ex yesterday. I want to settle down and have babies etc (Cant beleive I think that but I do) and she wants a new life and adventure away from here. I told her I would never ask her to stay. She's not the first person who's moved away and I doubt she'll be the last but I would never ask anyone to stay in area that they dont want to be. Knowing her she'd just throw it in my face in a few months time anyway.

Not that its very MFW but as I appear to be here by myself I feel I can have these semi rant type things!

So I'm back listing rubbish on ebay. If I can go back to making £100 a month from it that would make me happy. Pay day on Monday and new mortgage amount out on the 28th. Will be interesting to see the new amount. Still hope to be under the £100k mark for my 30th.

Will be getting a hair cut soon too. Thats pretty exciting in my world. Was thinking about a fringe again. I know they're pains to deal with but I like them.

    Hole----leee !!!!!

Took my eye off the ball on this bad boy.

Did a snow ball calculator and it'll take me 16 Months to pay off my debts (not including my mortgage)

How the bejesus did that happen?!

So I will have to finish the decorating and then I can get a lodger. That will help.

    I'm an idiot.
