Buying 1st home - What insurance products?

Hi guys

Noobie here so be nice :) My g/f and I are currently in the process of buying our first house and I'd like to get some advice on relevant insurance products.

I've been doing a bit of reading and it doesn't seem quite clear cut to me as lots of products have different terms. I know as a minimum we will need buildings insurance. Being the cautious person I am I want to get adaquate cover for most eventualities .

I want a plan that will pay the mortgage bills if...
I or my g/f lost our jobs through redundancy
If either of us were unable to work through sickness or an accident.
Life insurance so that if either of us died the other would not be left to pay all the remaining mortgage

Is there such a product that will cover this? We have been in touch with a mortgage broker who said he can also provide insurance for the above, he mentioned he could provide a quote or try an beat any offers we found.

So I guess can any one input on rough figures what we should be expecting to pay? The figures we are working with are borrowing £165k over 25yrs, paying approximately £900 per month. I'd like an idea what the going rate for the above product/s costs. So any help would be appreciated
