    Hi,
I am a quite new to all of this but have been reading all the Mr T threads (it's addictive) and scouring all my local stores and I have managed to get a few bits and among them is a twin dvd which is a different model and barcode to that posted. I picked this up a couple of wks ago at my local, It wasn't quite as cheap as the £24 model, with a SEL of £79.99, scanning at £49.99. But with my £10 Morrisons voucher and £5 till spit bringing this down to £34.99, I was still quite pleased.
They has 2 when I got mine but the other one was gone by the next day so I am unable to scan again to see if it still goes through at this price, but hopefully it might help somebody. The model is SS10, barcode: 5 052004 522120. I hope this helps.

I also managed to grab my first dtd last night, or so I thought!!
I spotted the BT Stratus 1500 triple phones with an ood SEL at £79.99, scanning at £164.99.
Off I went to cs just as it was closing and the sa marched me down the store to check the SEL.
SEL confirmed at £79.99, then off she went to chat with a senior sa who offered to sell the phones at the £79.99 price. I queried the dtd policy and the senior sa said ok.
The sa started to complete the form for the £170 refund but when she called the manager over to sign it off, he refused to dtd and despite my best efforts he would only sell the phones at the £79.99 SEL.

Unfortunately in this store the board behind cs is really small and loads of the stuff that is normally on these boards is missing, including the dtd policy.
I was thinking of calling cs, but wondered whether anyone had any experience of this and if I had a leg to stand on. What is the policy on dtd when it's not showing on the board at cs, do I have a right to it or is it at managers discretion.
Any help would be gratefully received, otherwise I suppose I will just return the phones at £79.99 and keep my eyes peeled for another dtd opportunity.

    Thanks

you should bought them at 164.99, then returned after purchase and done DTD, if they refused then get your money back

I had a huge trolley the other day stacked with boxes of hoovers, kettles, irons and all sorts....wheeled it to the scanner, beeped it all and then wheeled it back and put it all back on the shelves. Anyone viewing the security cameras must have thought I was bonkers! :D

LOL!! Damn I used the basket that you hold in you hand. Next time I'm going to take the huge trolley instead lol!!

I did buy them at £164.99, but they refused dtd just price reduction to £79.99 which I did as thought I might be able to contact cs re dtd. I still have receipt for £79.99 so I can return them for this price and not be out of pocket, just a shame the store would not honour dtd policy.

Anyone know the best method of contact for directing complaints at Tesco? I tried tescocomments dot com as displayed on the receipt, but never heard anything back - and it seemed to suggest your comments were merely forwarded to the store anyway.

You should have called HO there and then! I did it once when the a$$hole of a duty manager refused dtd saying first that promotions are not under dtd just white sels(bu11$hit!), then that the value of it was too high(two sets of phones, paid 180, dtd 200) and then that it's his discretion and on THIS occasion he's not offering dtd... He also refused to let me call HO from the shop's phone unless I agreed on partial refund to the ood sel price! So I didn't and called HO from my mobile and the nice guy spoke to the a$$hole and made him give me dtd...

Give HO a call now and see what they say... Explain the situation, if they say no, disconnect and try again as you'll speak to a different person... They might send you a giftcard for the 79.xx or contact the store and arrange for you to come to get a refund...

    good luck! ;)

Thanks for that, unfortunately it was at abt 10pm so HO would have been closed I think, will def call them though. Is the number for HO the same as cs number or a different one?

In ours they woould just think you were strange for putting them back, I always do put stuff back, but the pile by the self scanner means most don't!
