I chuckled whilst reading your post. Firstly cheese and ham... yuk :-)

Then all the things you bought are from aisles I never go down. I've no interest in the baby/children things (I have a grandson but i've finished buying him) So if I'd have gone to your store I would have probably thought there was no bargains there. I bet you looked at my list and thought it was uninteresting to you.

I love that we are all different, means there are more bargains to go round... I've been trying all my camping stuff this morning and i'm having a ball!

I want to go out again today but hubby is at home so I guess I should spend some time with him :-( tee hee!

I love hearing what everyone else has bought, actually i'm loving the whole hunt!

PS my meal deal was egg and bacon! :rotfl:

Hi Angelina, I've only just seen this post! I stayed in all of Sunday, but was itching to go! I am considering doing a tesco run tonight :)

Just printing off my new updated list incase, by chance I happen to end up in another town with a big Extra store

I think theres still lots to find, I'm definately seeing new stock arriving so those warehouses are still delivering our discontinued bits.

Lol at the camping bits - not my cup of tea at all!! I don't look at the outdoor-ish sections at all!! I have 3 little ones though, and they are loving the treasurehunt - they call it 'the toyhunt' ;)

Well i've just got back from doing Beeston, Toton, Long Eaton and Netherfield and I got nothing! A couple Rolson tool things for hubby and an Airwick air freshener! I said last time that I wouldn't do these stores again, especially the one without a scanner (Beeston I think) as i've never had any luck there but we were at a loose end so we went on a hunt!

I think thats it now, i'm done. I will keep looking whilst i'm in doing my shopping but won't go out of my way anymore.

Thank you Mr T's, this last month or so has been great fun! :T

I keep saying that too..... it doesn't last though ;)
  • Popped into Sl*ugh today and checked electricals. Picked up a pair of Babyliss PRO 230 Elegance Straightners. They scanned at £79.97. As I had initially found them without a SEL, I went looking for it. Found it - together with an OOD SEL stating an introductory offer of £39.97 ended 04/10/11. Paid my £79.97 and got DTD £80 back, with a bit extra to take them away :D First time Ive had any electricals from that store and they are usually so on the ball - Im chuffed to bits :) They had x1 more set on the shelf, and as the customer service lady was by herself, she wasnt able to remove the SEL. ;)

It only takes a moment to say a Thank-You, which goes a long way! :D

Electrical was great and went through their stock, no netbooks but might have some cheaper ones in soon, keep trying they said.

No electricals for me either today. I did get one of the £7 wooden stair gates and a dozen bottles of pantene though so not a total disaster.

Either CS desk, or I head for the till supervisor (usually around the middle area of the checkouts in a reasonable sized store) and say something like: I think I have seen these on offer on line, could you just check for me the same offer is in store, as I know they often differ. If you get a bargain, try not to look too pleased ...

There is a very helpful list on here which someone has created (just can't find it at the mo) with generally what to look for. Good luck searching.
