Has anyone managed to find anything good in Sheffield/Chesterfield? I tried looking for all the electrical things, laptops, cameras, irons etc in Chesterfield, and they had some laptops whose model numbers matched the ones on the list but how do I know it's the right one? A few of them were the right model number but no way of checking if they are cheaper than the SEL says or not. Also had some of the cameras but they have no scanners in that store (even though it's an absolutely massive store) so I asked clothing desk to scan a couple but they were at the SEL prices. Couldn't see any of the vacuums or irons, or space for them anywhere. Thanks :)

I went to chesterfield for first time yesterday - couldnt believe that the size of the store didnt have any self - scanners.
I managed to get a battery charger ,SEL £20 but scanned at £2 .

S/A at till pricechecked a few items for me mentioned on here but all scanned full price.

Did get a couple a windbreakers (camping !!) correctly scanning at SEL £2.50 - to put away for next year (being looking for cheap ones for a while !!)

Can't see it mentioned on this thread but found a couple of boxes of Babyliss Curl Press (model 2330GU) in k'g0ney B3lf@st today scanning at £3.06 if anyone is interested. They were on the bottom shelf of the personal grooming display and had the correct SEL.
  • They were sat on a square unit just before you get to the laptops, the SEL was £79 and were the last two in stock. Just shows there is new stock still going into stores as we speak

they must updated them recently as i checked them last week

I scanned these yesterday, and they were full price in my store unfortunately.

just out of curiousity, when you go into store and are planning one picking up an item that is 1p do you go to a normal checkout or a self service?

i missed the irons today but did wander if i had found them would i have not been sold them if i had gone through a normal checkout as they are only 1p and would have been better off going through a self server checkout x

I try to head for the SS, hang about a little in the aisle nearby waiting to make sure there is no queue, but not too quiet either. Have a little other shopping as well and pay cash for quick get-away. If I go through the till I try to get a young cant be bothered young lad and certainly not a trout.

im afraid you wont find much in the chesterfield store, its my local store and when i went a few weeks ago when it first came to light that the electrical beauty stuff was scanning at 90% off i witnessed the manager and this staff price checking all the shavers etc with handheld scanners talking them off the shelf and taking them into the back i presume for themselves, so slim pickings as the staff got there first !
  • Only items i managed to pick up in cHesterField store is sony headphones and breville iron.mum-law got t*co iron for 79p so she was happy. Went up to the new mrt at cl*y cr*ss, got toaster and kettle, pointed a couple in the direction of the irons and they picked up 2. only popped in so didnt check anything else, but it has a self- scanner so might make that my local instead of chest*rfield. :rotfl:

If you are trying to hide the name of the store I don't think mixing upper and lower case works! :D

Chesterfield was good to me when I went up past there a month ago!
No scanners that I could see though. New EXTRA coming to Sheffield soon. :T

Reports this morning of more Galaxy tabs in my local but staff had them all. You may get lucky if you check and they've just come in! :)
