Me too!! But he does like it when I find bits for him! We took the kids last weekend and they loved being my scanners lol :)

How do you get away with this, at my store if the kids so to the self serve tills, a) there is always a massive queue and b) probably because of a) they get told they aren't allowed to scan things and use the tills? Everytime I take things to the proper tills and ask how much is that all the time on the offchance that something might be drastically cheap and then the check out staff say they cant sell it. I once had one who said "they are marked up at £??" as if she's thinking "why ask!?!?"

I did wonder if there was a way of scanning in the store before the tills, like some cheaper stores have the scanners on the aisles dont they?

some stores have customer price check scanners in certain aisles my local one does not have any but 2 other stores near me do its well worth the extra few miles, some are in clothes dept and one is in the beers wines & spirits aisle
just ask if they have a customer scanner.

Thankfully the post asking about removal of the stickers on the barcodes has been deleted, but just in case anyone was considering this, IT IS THEFT!

These bargains are great, why do people have to spoil things :(
so if you suspect you can get it cheaper with the sticker off, try honesty and just ask at checkout... i asked for a reduced sticker on a expensive item to be removed a few weeks ago, so i could have it for a few pounds as reported on here (was a saving of £20 more than the existing stickered priced if i got it) the lady on the till looked stunned and said no but got the manager who said fine and she took the label off, so it's not theft if you ask first...

Marked up on the shelf as £13.50 off. Went through at full price (£39.97) so DTD of £27.00 back. Making it £12.97! Putting it away for DD's 1st birthday. I missed out on all the bargain toys but this is a start to making up for it!

I don't think they gave you double the difference back :( You should of been refunded £52.94 there fore getting paid to take it away.

The op was correct £13.50 x 2 = £27.00. Not a bad price for the little ones.
    Comping wishlist for 2017
    1. Family holiday 2. Christmas presents :rudolf: 3. Fishing stuff
