I've started a new rule for myself that each week must include one vegetarian meal, one recipe I haven't made before, one low carb meal and one fish-based meal. So here is next week...got a well-stocked freezer now so all the meat is coming out of there, not needing to buy any at all this week.

Saturday 8th - home made pizza with salad
Sunday 9th - spaghetti bolognaise and salad (cook loads of bolognaise for freezer)
Monday 10th - HM made root veg soup (vegetarian and low carb with no bread)
Tuesday 11th - chicken, jacket potatoes, veg
Wednesday 12th - linguine with smoked salmon and spice red pepper sauce (new recipe and fish)
Thursday 13th - chinese chicken stir fry
Friday 14th - OH away - fish fingers, mash and peas (my ultimate comfort food!)

My meal plan is not going exactly to plan as I found some chorizo going out of date in the fridge. I knew it was there, just didn't know the best before date. It is fine, but time to get on and use it. Last night instead of the feta and olives the omelette had chorizo, potatoes and tomatoes and it was so good we will have the same again tonight.

That's a fantastic idea - do you mind if I borrow it, please? :T

I mostly stuck to my meal plan for last week, except for the past couple of days when I abandoned the salad that was on my meal plan - somehow it didn't seem too appealing once the weather had gone from summer to autumn!

    This week goes:

Friday - chicken kiev with spicy beans and veg
Saturday - shockingly - a ready meal - I'm out all day and know I won't feel like cooking when I get back :o
Sunday - veg chilli-stuffed squash (veggie and low carb)
    Monday to Thursday -
squash, bacon and feta filo tart (new recipe)
pea and ham soup with cheese and onion bread (another new recipe)
scampi, chips and peas (fish-based - or at least shellfish-based ;))
leeks and ham in cheese sauce

Have a good week, all. :)
Back after a very long break!

Good Grief  I just haven't a clue!! Mind you we have scheduled in the trip to the butchers for next Wednesday so the freezer will be pretty full, so I am having a stab at it as pretty near to accuracy as I can get it!

Sunday - Roast pork, stuffing, roast potatoes and veg

Monday - Sweet & sour pork with rice (from sunday joint)

Tuesday - Jacket potatoes, grilled bacon, cheese, coleslaw and onion!

Wednesday - Meat pie, mash and swede

Friday - always fish, chips and peas

    Saturday - possibly rump steak

Sunday, Roast beef, yorkshires, roast potatoes etc!
