My Dad has kindly given us the use of his car for the forseeable (we can't change ownership & he wont insure it with the wife & I as named drivers), so we need to insure a car that we are not the registered keepers of.
We insured through Admiral last year, I was wondering if any other insurers would do this?

Few (if any) of the online systems will do it, you need to get quotes using the normal online methods but with you as owner & RK and then phone the best one & complete the deal over the phone and telling them who is the owner.0

Parents owning the car is normally not a problem even with online systems. Aggregators return many results for it.
If it was reversed and you were loaning your dad your car then online systems dont tend to like that as much.0 -
Just run a stored quote of mine back through confused, with me as owner & RK cheapest was £270 with 35 companies unwilling to quote.
Edit it so my dad was owner & RK, cheapest was £340 with 70 companies unwilling to quote so about 25% more expensive

I insure my husbands car with Sheilas wheels and I did it on-line.
I couldn't say whether that only works for spouses.0 -
I suspect they treat spouses as sort of interchangeable0

yeah SW do, they will NOT insure you if anyone else is owner/RK though0
