hi can anyone help me, I am looking to take sound from a movie,cartoon, or game to set as a ringtone for my mobile does anyone know how to do this?

    What mobile have you got ? i had a disc with my mobile,and that makes it easy to pick a song of a cd and make it in to a ringtone.
    Just write your mobile make and then put forum after it and see what comes up on Google

    just get an mp3 of the song you want, and cut it down to about 30sec using audacity

    Do you all want the same ringtone? lol, bit wierd.

    Just use the cabes that come with your phones, and transfer an mp3 file of the desired tune onto your phones.

    No we all want different ringtones , my daughter wants a soundclip from a game, my wife wants a soundclip from a film and I just want anything.

    My son has a cable with his, he just downloads them from the computer. I don't have this facility, but if I want a new ringtone, he does it on his, and bluetooths it to me.

    well I can now put ringtones onto my phone as long as it is a MP3 I still cant take sounds from games or films and put them on anyone know how this is done.

    follow the link in post no. 4, download the program then you can crop an mp3 to about 30 seconds or hook up a dvd player (or games console) to your computer via a 3.5mm headphone jack to headphone jack lead (or whatever the output uses like a phono to headphone jack to the line in on your computer's soundcard and record the audio in audacity
