I'm a bit vague when it comes to certain things on the computer so can someone give me some advice?

Is there a way to open a link here and the competition organiser not be able to see it's come from a MSE link.

I thought right click new tab am I right?

What browser are you using? Jill

if you are using Firefox you can left click on the link and drag and drop the link into a new tab or the address bar

If firefox click on Tools- Page Info to see the referral link it will say someting like http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?

then click on Tools- Page Info after you have dragged and dropped the link you will see the referral link is empty

I just save the ones that I want to enter every day into a folder in 'Favourites' If you write them down you've got to type in the address each time.

i just work my way down the thread each day, skipping out the ones i dont want to enter. it takes me a few days to remember which threads i want to skip over (teh repetiveness of opening them and opening the page to discover i never wanted to open it in the first place finally sticks in my brain :rotfl: ) that way i dont miss any that have been added since i was last in the thread which i would find harder to spot and pick out if thats all i was doing in the thread iyswim.

it does mean i have a few extra clicks to open threads to get the link for those comps that dont need a new answer or such like each day, but its the way that works best for me. same with daily and weekly threads.

the ones you only need to register once for are in a separate section/post at the start of this thread, so i wont tend to open them everyday anyway, at least not after most of the new ones for that section have been added tomorrow and the next day which is iirc when they will be most prolific.

Hi, I had a missed call from an 020 number today(020******29). I called back to find it was a company called be sure. The person that answered said they called because I had entered a comp to win an iPad.......But then went on to try to sell me cancer insurance for women. When I asked ." So i haven't won then?" he said no. I told him I didn't want his insurance! I wanted to put this here just in case anyone else has a missed call and wonders what it was.

I've never posted on here before so apologies if i'm not supposed to reply! I also had this call ... they told me I had entered a competition by filling my details in on a survey and I had won an ipad... then tried to sell me the same as you! They called me 3 more times before I had to get rude and demand they remove my details. They also told me I was stupid for not listening to them too and that's why I was continued to be called! Rude!!!

it has been removed along with Standard View and New Topic View but One-Eye found a link to the missing buttons so you can still use them see http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=48539051&postcount=446

Tip: if you are using FF you can drag and drop the icons into the Bookmarks toolbar so they are always at the top right click and click on properties to rename them
    http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Bookmarks%20Toolbar

if you are using IE you can drag and drop the icons into the Favorites bar like FF just click on properties to rename them

    hope this helps!

    Best of Luck :)
