Way serious!
I was shocked too.
I thought that if they put the "no purchase necessary" link at the bottom of the competition page then it was okay to mention it to someone who was asking about the code.
Obviously not.
They unliked me from the page and deleted my comments. I've liked the page again but can't add comments on anything on the page so it's like I've been blocked.
All for pointing out something that was already there!2019 Wins

Ridiculous, I have seen posts from people on there that have struck me as being quite rude about the competition but they've stayed there. Hope they let you back again soon.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

There has not been any tweets since 22nd May and there were only 7 since they first started in February. Their tweets were all comps but they don't mention any winners.
Their Facebook account was also set up in February but has had no posts since then.
Their website has not seen any activity at all.
Hmm, good point, I hadn't really looked. Maybe in view of that I won't ask for it to be brought out of game over! Thanks both thingamaBob and weeowens

Hi guys, I hope it's ok to post my question on here.
I have entered Facebook competition to win trip to Hollywood. It is run my MTV UK. I have submited my photo entry and getting my friends to vote for me daily.:)
The trouble is, that it does not show how many votes do the entries have. So I don't know really if I have any chance..
Is this normal way to run voting competition? It seems quite unusual to me. I tried to contact MTV UK and they just responded saying "if I'm the winner I will find out"..
Me thinks, how do I know that the winner they announce is the one with most votes?Best wins ever:
2012: Holiday to LA for 2 adults +2 kids for 4 days
2013: £2 000 Virgin Holiday Voucher!
2014: $1000 spending money for hols
2015: 8 night holiday to Thailand0 -
Hi folks
I've added/amended a couple of things in the Comping Guide:
Posting Comps - section 5 Why am I unable to post a link/URL for a comp?
Removed the number of posts needed to be able to post URLs.
Now includes info about the banned sites !!!! issue.
Getting Started (II) - section 2 How do I keep track of which comps I've entered?
Included screenshots & info about the 'Enter' button
(It has been on my to do list for a while but I've been busy:o)
That's all, thanksSad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out0 -
Hi all
I'm new to this whole comping lark and wanted to ask a (probably stupid) question.
I see that there are an awful lot of comps on the board for exactly the same prize (Senna DVD and race experience) I realise that they are through different magazines but if they are all from the same publisher do you only get one shot at the prize?? I don't want to go and enter all of them only to find out that my entries are revoked as I was only allowed to enter once.
(Sorry if I'm being dumb)

I think with the Dennis Publishing comps that you can enter through all the magazines, but there is only one prize.

Hi folks
Probably posted in wrong place but here goes
I have recently received two prizes
1) Nintendo 3DS
2) Nikon Rangefinder 350G
Great prizes ?
Nope
1) Gave the 3DS as a prezzy for nephew- Will not accept any game cartridges
I searched nintendo and it appears that it has to be sent back for repair.Contacted the promoter, about my options. No reply yet but still early days.
2) Couldnt think what to do wirh this prize, I don't know anybody who plays golf. As it was £250 new I thought I would sell it on ebay. Buyer contacts me within hours of its arrival and tells me it has dropped to bits
Now all the hassle of returns, refunds and cost to me.
Apart from the fact I can have a rant and a chance to get it off my chest. Is this a regular occurrence ? I know anybody can get faulty item, but two inside a month ?
My luck has finally changed ! Unfortunately Its for the worst !!!!2017 WINS
