If the Euro fails will it mean the end of the EU? As I believe that it was stated on Newsnight the other evening that, "the German people are 100% behind them being members of the EU", every last man jack of them.0

Part of the reason the germans have been backing the eu/euro is because it has helped them grow their export industry.
The germans seem to operate a tight and very efficient ship that's what makes them great.
So I guess at some point if the venture turns out to make a loss they may pull the plug.
The formula may be as follows,
Cost of support/bail-out for banckrupt nations,
add cost of interest paid to banks for loan of more bail-out euros,
minus profit from exporting to bankcrupt nations,
minus profit from x years of accumlated profit from trading with aforementioned countries. (they may not include this step)
factor in german appetite for efficiency/profit versus loss/pain threshold.
voila
I have opted for the practical, logical approach to the formula because it is probably more akin to the german way.
(or for a challenge do a latin or gallic version you will need to add flighty ideals in the calculation, it makes an outcome more difficult to figure)
In most cases it is far harder to earn the money than spend it,
and some nations have been operating this concept with alarming efficiency, even the mighty ultimate german machine will find it difficult to outpace the spend factor.
Just before portugal needed its bail-out an analyst said 'we calculate that portugal has to pay 4 million to bondholders next month but it only has 3.5-4 million in its account' (time for pay day loans me thinks at 1000%+apr!)
How does an entire nation manage to arrive at such a dire financial state?
For all those nations facing this issue, and there is alot, and probably more to come, ask for a refund from the people steering the boat they definitely weren't doing the job they were paid for - looking after the nations finances.0 -
Seeing that the Queen is German and Prince Philip is Greek perhaps the UK can get to choose whether to adopt the Deutschmark or the Drachma...0
