Germany is planing to leave the European currency .
That's a bold statement of fact on a major issue to make without any evidence. Care to share your sources?

If the Euro were to break up I always thought the only way it could happen would be for Germany and France to exit, not the weaker countries. However on CNBC I see they are claiming it would cost every German citizen 8,000 Euros, not to mention they would lose out on an undervalued currency which has made them close to being the world's top exporter, so their economy woudl suffer for ever more.

So although I think it not a bad idea I think this is idle gossip unless you can come up with some links to proper news or financial channels that say otherwise.

There is mention of this on the Keiser Report episode 192 at about the 3 minute mark
    Philippa Malmgren,
(I think she is a senior advisor to the board of the deutschebank) is quoted saying they are printing it.

(unfortunately as a new user I cannot yet post the link for the clip)

I asked myself the following questions after seeing this clip.
    Has she got it wrong?
Could she profit from saying something like this?
Is she so far up the ladder the rarified air has made her loose her marbles?
Has someone set her up, maybe she really didn't say it or has she been soundbited?

So even if one person says it that doesn't mean it is either planned or happening as the OP suggested. I'm sure you could find plenty of UK independence MEPs who would save that the Euro will collapse as well.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

The main reason I don't believe they're printing Deutschmarks is that I don't believe they threw the old ones away.
"It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis

A very efficient, practical idea, dare I say very.........german.

Always a good idea to have a plan B when you embark on a new venture specially when the new venture is not without problems (see ERM and UK)
