Price Glitch - Boots FCUK mens toiletries

  • Edinburgh Princes St Store - They have around 6 lipbalms left, however, just been in and tried to get 3 lipbalms and 3 other FCUK red products and the SA (upstairs) said she'd have to put the lipbalms through separately cos it's going through the till incorrectly.

So although it still works they aren’t allowing you to do it. Just paid full price cos I couldn’t think of an excuse quick enough.....£10.10 for 3 lipbalms!!! :(

Feel free to chance it in there but have an excuse ready in case they question you.

I've just been to Boots at the Arnison Centre Durham and it works there. There was no sign up about the free lipbalm. There were no body sprays left but when I asked the SA she brought some from out the back. I got the last 3 lipbalms on the shelf but its worth asking if they've got anymore. I paid £2.10 for 3 lipbalms, 2 bath soaks and 1 body spray, the girl at the till looked puzzled but didnt question it :D

Bargain Hunter- I would be taking thwm back if I were you. They are suposed to be free with other purchase - not the price SHE thinks they should be. If Boots want to run two offers alongside eachother - so be it, its not your fault and I am sure if they wanted to they could change it or stop putting stock out. Not let people think the offers are as stated and then change their minds through trouty staff members. And in effect make customers pay more than advertised. Alternatively phone boots customer service and explain to them how disappointed you were and you felt put on the spot -people usually get points on their card.

Thanks for that, ye think i'll just take the lipbalms back and keep the shower gel etc as it'll get used by my bf anyway.

I managed to get a few on Friday (thanks OP) so I'll be happy with my money back for this one. Don't want to draw any attention to the glitch and ruin for others so i'll not phone customer services.

I went yesterday and was told as they're a small store they dont have the lipbalms in there...but i could order them in....didnt bother but then decided to go today and order them...had to pay upfront for 6...(but went through as 3for2 so only paid £20.40)...and SA agreed that when they come into store next week I can ask for a full refund there and then, so that I can use them alongside the other products to get them free as well as 3for2.....now thats what I call customer service!!! Bless her...I'm all excited now, cant wait for Monday (sad I know!)

Went through Boots Ventura park today to get this offer. Had a combination of deodorants, bath wash and shower gels and 6 lip balms for total to pay to be £4.20. 2 CS picked up receipt trying to work out pricing, gave up and went to shelf to look for themselves - no lipbalms left on shelf though as there were only the 6 i picked up available and the other shower gel on shelf had a smashed lid.

I took advantage of this offer today at my local boots (Clapham Junction). I got 6 balms, 6 Deo's and 6 Shower Gel plus coupon from ACM machine so £3.60 in total! Thanks OP.

Also there was loads lip balms/FCUK sport products left, even after I had been there.
  • Still working today for me. Previous combo mentioned was:

    1x lip balm
    2x hair and body wash

    all for £1.20.

I doubled that but it came to £4.20, go figure! So maybe it's best to put them through in threes because of how the free item is deducted, if that makes sense?

    Still very happy, thanks OP:D

Uhm that is true because my 6 were £4.20 weird eh? Never thought to split it because had in my mind that it had to be 6 for it to kick in?

the trick is that you have to get the same amount of lipbalms as the other items and in multiples of 3...ie if you buy 3 deoderants, you get 3 lipbalms...the till gives you 3for2...so you pay for 2 deodorants...you get 3rd free...you then get 3 times the lipbalm value taken off as well (£5.10 each).... if you scroll back through the posts theres a photo of a reciept to show hows its done!! :)
