I have spent ages reading this thread and other threads about Tesco on this site. I notice more and more people are unhappy when codes do not work for them and often threaten to stop shopping @ Mr T's

Can I just remind people that the majority of codes you use have not been issued to you so therefore they should not work at all or you should not use them.

When I use any code that has not been issued to me and it works I see that as a bonus. I would be !!!!ed off if a code I was issued did not work but I would never dream of calling CS or emailing them either.

Calling or emailing CS brings attention to your account(s) which you could possibly do without,

Codes that we can all use are a BONUS codes that are targetted or don't work are tough luck.

I am not getting at anyone in particular I just wish to remind people that all these codes are not issued to you and Tesco does not need to honour them if you choose to attempt to use them.

True, codes not issued to you personally are a bonus if they work. :j
It is no surprise though if Tesco really start to clamp down on them when there are customers who not only use these codes but do so on several accounts opened with random initials all at the same address in order to maximise their use. Again, I am not addressing anyone in particular, just a thought. :)

To be honest I do not think that Tesco will start to clamp down with these codes, it obvious that Tesco know that people share codes and many 1000s of people only shop with Tesco if they can use codes. Tesco are aware that if they stop these codes or clubcard they will lose alot of the market. We all know that tesco is not the cheapest supermarket however they are making the most profit? Thats because ppl like me and you continue to shop there using there codes.

Just tried to complete an order on the Wine site and it keeps giving an error right at the end.

Tried a different account and different browser, same thing. Looks like its broken at the moment.

never used tescos direct before ( or online at all!) being completely new to all this so.......
can some one tell me if they only deduct the amount when its delivered, or should it say on the total in my checkout, it does say at the top of the page that the coupon has been succesfully added.

  • I think Tesco are really clamping down, unless they just have something personal against me!!!!

I am trying to buy something through tesco direct, and I have tried around about 50 codes now for various offers (1000 extra points, £10 off, £5 off, double points etc etc etc) and NOTHING has worked, should I leave it for now and see if any new codes come up, or should I just think "oh well, I tried" and just accept that they really dislike me!!!??
I believe that I have the strength to make my dreams come true
