I have used soda crystals very successfully - but the best result ever (even compared to expensive dishwasher liquitab thingys) has been supermarket own brand biological washing powder. It smells nicer too!Stash Busting Challenge waiting for inspiration:D :j0

I use Sainsburys - at 50p a box it is really cheap as well. I just fill the power compartment and haven't had any problems with foaming.Stash Busting Challenge waiting for inspiration:D :j0

how much powder do you use?
I'm tempted to try it with a bit of Daz I've got lying aroundThe early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0 -
I just fill the little compartment - where you would normally put the tablets. That always seems to be enough. I find that everything is really squeaky clean - even though the rinse aid is low!Stash Busting Challenge waiting for inspiration:D :j0

I use tescos own dishwashing powder. But the tub isn't pull so I add some soda crystals & shake it up.
Vinegar in the rince aid.
Clean the dishwasher once a week on the hottest setting with soda crystals & white vinegar.
Dishes are always clean!

having probs with the cleaning in my DW at minute - i.e not very clean. How do you clean the machine with soda crystals and vinegar - where do you put them?
Only got a DW in the summer and it seems to be more trouble than its worth or perhaps I have mis judged the work involved in keeping it clean??0 -
I use LIDL's dishwasher powder, it's about £2.99 for 3kg. Lasts for ages & is the best I have used so far.0

I have been using Finish for a long time now, but lately have noticed glasses are not coming up very good.
Will be looking to try an alternative as suggested above.
Thanks:hello: Never say Never :smileyhea0 -
