Can you get BT tv and not there broadband

I am currently trying to find a way of reducing my tv broadband and call package cost. Currently im paying £50 with sky....YES its alot. I moved to an area without freeview 2 years ago and only option for tv was Sky....also as its the middle of no where I had to pay higher broadband costs as this was not in the sky coverage area. Anyway now 2 years later I have freeview possibility for 19 channels plus more if I go for unlimited pack. Doing the figures im still including line rental going to be paying £40 per month for a BT package. However if I went for just BT television and plus net internet I could get it down however is this possible? I know you can with sky....20 pound tv and the £15 with plus net. What id like is 12.25 BT Tv package and 15 plus net internet ...which would be lovely as thats including line rental..........possible?

Simple answer No and if you cannot get a good freeview signal you wont get BT Vision either

And even if you did, the on-demand content requires that your line supports at least 2MBps, which it may not 'in the middle of nowhere'.

Aww no :-( thanks for the heads up! I was lead to believe talking to BT that I could get limited freeview of 19 channels and I would have no problems with the unlimited tv package. Im going to have to try and blag sky into giving me a better deal on disconnections

Cancel Sky and you'll still get Freesat from Sky, which has a similar range of channels to freeview.

i can't understand why anyone would want bt vision. isn't it just freeview for a monthly fee, with more fee if you want to watch something extra?

I agree - Freesat is the way to go given your circumstances. There are some good Freesat pvr's out there and one payment for the box is all you will pay.
