I suppose it would be OK as long as the bank offers both savings and current accounts, but I'd rather not risk it myself.
Ah, sorry, yes I missed the "straight to" in the post. I agree SBT direct to savings accounts, without going through a current account, are a no-no. But who on earth would do that? Anyone who does that deserves everything they get as it is trivial to use a current account as a conduit, and stay within the T&Cs.0 -

Yes, but strictly speaking just because they didn't ask you questions and you got away with it twice, doesn't mean it is ok! The T&Cs clearly say current account, and you are taking an unnecessary risk by trying to SBT to a non-current account.0

I like Egg, their customer service is way better than any other bank I have been with. Although I did get the third degree when I took out my loan with them - fair nuff though, they had to make sure I would pay it back. Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN0

I BT straight into the savings account of my offset mortgage. They asked me about the account I had used when I ask for latest credit card increase.
Told the guy straight that I was just using the credit to offset my mortgage. Didn't seem to be a problem. He hadn't heard about and was quite surprised and thought it made sense.
Gave me an increase too. Didn't seem to be a problem.Since light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak.0
