Saying people are paid what they are worth might sound clever but I can assure you it is not.
??....certain jobs have certain values or worth. Nothing to do with clever or not......then the jobs get done by an individual who, mistakenly, thinks that that is what they as an individual are 'worth'.
Personally, I think that, for example, a surgeon's job is worth more than that of a premier league footballer but the industries they are employed within disagree. It's the industry that sets the values.
Logically, a cleaner in a hospital would seem to be 'worth' more than a cleaner in a private house as the hospital cleaner has a greater responsibility to do an A* job as germs can infect patients but, from what I know a cleaner in a private house is 'worth' about £9 - £10 per hour whereas a cleaner working in an NHS hospital probably only gets about £6 per hour (though the agency add on).
Marge has a dinstinctive voice and I am guessing that the actor who created her sound when the show started was seen as worth more at the beginning as the whole package of the show was what made it a success; the writers, the presentation, the excecution of the raw idea and so on.....but Marges voice is now 'set'. it has already been created so a copycat Marge voice would probaby do the job just as well now but could be gotten for far fewer $$$$. The orginator of her voice has done his raw creative bit and set the tone. He/She will have to move on to new creative voice over projects.0 -
Cleaners are easy to find, no qualifications required, hours to suit etc and so has poverty wages.
Wayne Rooney has a talent that the big clubs want and can afford to pay him a ridiculous salary - as he gets older his talent will decrease along with his wages.
Without Dan Castellaneta the Fox Network will have to cancel The Programme, something they will not do so will pay him what he demands.
If you get up everyday to go to work cleaning all day long i think you should be entitled to a wage that is quite a way above the poverty line0 -

I agree that other artists would be able to voice. Walt Disney was the original voice of Mickey Mouse but gave up the role, Mickey didn't exactly fail. Similarly Hal Smith was replaced by Jim Cummings as the voice actor who played Winnie the Pooh, but I doubt many could tell the difference.
The Simpsons has already proven that it can succeed as talent leaves: it lost one of its lead animators - the brilliant Brad Bird - to Pixar after 8 seasons.
However I can see how the Simpsons would play any change and it would be with typical irreverence. They'd do a spoof of one of those major US soaps where the actors change and send themselves up, everyone will laugh, the new people will be in the roles and six months down the line everyone will wonder what all the fuss was about, with the original Simpsons voice artists very frustrated that they shot the golden-egg goose. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
