Would love them to go bust, but as far as generating revenue & profit goes they are miles and miles ahead of any domestic rival and pulling further ahead.
They are operating in a self perpetuating oligarchy of Real Madrid, Barca, Bayern.
The financial fair play rules are only going to entrench this.

Everyone is paid what they are worth.
A cleaner is paid what they are worth
Wayne Rooney is paid what he's worth
Dan Castellaneta is paid what he's worth
I think the value that a certain 'job' is worth x gets mixed up with an individuals 'worth'.
I have no idea of the total 'worth' of The Simpsons but the voice over actors see themselves as integral to the 'worth' and $$$ that the show generates. If an identical 'Marge' voice could be replaced for a cheaper actor then would the show be less good? The script writers have a higher 'worth' as without the words, the voice has nothing.
As an employer I have jobs in my business that have a price. I match an individual to the job and pay them the price the job is worth.
Sadly it's the job that that has the value not the individual....and some individuals give me more value than others. It's not a nice thing to write but it is true and all jobs can be filled by another...even footballers.0 -

Cleaners are paid poverty wages because contract companies recruit them from emerging economies on the promise of access to the UK's generous welfare system.
"Wayne Rooney is paid what he's worth"
Wayne Rooney is paid a king's ransom because his income is bankrolled by the Sky monopoly which charges 1000% more than continental competitors and protects this monopoly with threats of criminal prosecutions.
"Dan Castellaneta is paid what he's worth"
In a free market wages should have some link to skill or effort. Dan Castellaneta qualifies as average on both scores By that measure he is overpaid.
What is a banker worth who helps wreck the economy or an incompetent MD of a large company? From all the evidence it would seem they are often valued as highly as Wayne Rooney.
Saying people are paid what they are worth might sound clever but I can assure you it is not.0 -
The Simpsons.
I remember that when it used to be funny."There's no such thing as Macra. Macra do not exist."
"I could play all day in my Green Cathedral".
"The Centuries that divide me shall be undone."
"A dream? Really, Doctor. You'll be consulting the entrails of a sheep next. "0 -
Cleaners are easy to find, no qualifications required, hours to suit etc and so has poverty wages."A cleaner is paid what they are worth"

Wayne Rooney has a talent that the big clubs want and can afford to pay him a ridiculous salary - as he gets older his talent will decrease along with his wages."Wayne Rooney is paid what he's worth"

Without Dan Castellaneta the Fox Network will have to cancel The Programme, something they will not do so will pay him what he demands."Dan Castellaneta is paid what he's worth"
