I calculated the actual rise for my gas and electric through Atlantic where I use their no standing charge monthly dd scheme.
    Gas - total units 23986 - from £424.81 to £449.36 = 5.8% rise
    Elec - total unit 4075 - from £264.60 to £296.60 = 12.2% rise
Overall increase = 8.3% or equivalent of the annual rebate !!

Not so bad for me and hopefully not too bad for others.

Is anyone taken in by this green energy con. Does anyone really believe the energy produces by an environmental friendy source comes down the power lines missing all your neghbours & just goes into the houses that purchase green energy.
If you are interested in the envirnoment look for the Suppleir who supplies the biggest percentage of green energy.

the electricity you get is the same

what the company do is for every unit u use on their green energy tariff, they generate a unit via environmentally friendly ways

to be honest i think its a rip-off
the company would prob generate that same amount of green energy anyway

green energy, as recommended by Friends of the Earth, is genuinely one if not the single biggest contribution a household can make to reducing its carbo emmissions etc.

global warming started off not being believed - but the mounting evidence that channel 4 collected (and channel 4 started their search from a cynical start point) overwhelmed them.

Everyone is entitled to their own point of view - and i think people are right to be on their guard paprticularly as not all green claimants are as green as they make out - that is why friends of the earth recommendation means something.
