http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=268684332I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.0 -
I am unfamiliar with lots of Tesco products as I don't shop there but if they choose to use purple lids on all variations of their creamfields branded milk it would suggest they are using the lids purely to identify it as the discount brand rather than the lid colour identifying the milk type as every other brand does.0

This.
The creamfield is still £1 for 4 pints?
In any case Aldi and Iceland both do 4 pints for £1 and the 99p store does it, surprisingly, for 99p.
Sorry, just noticed you said Aldi went off within 2-3 days, 4 pints doesn't last us more than 2 days anyway so I can't comment on that side! :rotfl:0 -
I went over to buying the Purple Top (1% fat) milk, because I too have mobility problems and find the 6 pints too heavy and messy (spill more than we use). Also because it was cheaper than semi-skimmed.
I find it keeps much better and tastes no different to semi-skimmed. I normally buy this in Sainsburys, they had it on Sunday, still for £1.00.
Milk in Farmfoods was 2 X 4pints for £1.50 for ages, but has gone up to £1.80 now. No good for us anyway, as we only use about 2 pints a week. Seem to just end up making loads of rice pudding otherwise, just so as not to waste it.MSE Addiction, should come with a health warning:money:0 -

Icelands is still a quid for 4 pints0

Farmfoods were doing 2x2 litres for £1.80 last week.
Tesco had up signs saying the milk was on offer for £1.25. This is part of their price drop campaign. It's funny that it now costs 75p more for 3 x 2 litre bottles than it did before the price drop thing started!0 -
Btw, I don't like skimmed milk and we usually drink semi-skimmed, but i've got to say that I can hardly taste any difference between the semi-skimmed and the 1% purple topped milk.0

Even better is Costco 2 for pints for only £1.490
