cabn we give the guy a break?
Lots of people are new to buying houses, clearly the OP isnt up to speed with the process.
YES, you can negotiate the price after survey. theres a load of info in the stickies at the top of the page about how to do so.
OP has your offer been the one accepted? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Ahh Broderick my new internet friend thought you had disappeared, good to have you back on board!!
The vendor is now considering my new offer which was subject to the findings of the home buyers survey, but according to the EA the vendor is a 5 star pain in the ar*e busy body (Your not currently selling a house in Worcestershire are you Broderick?? If so you have awful taste in decor!!)
Admittedly I am new to this whole house buying lark.. so there are things Ill do differently next time. But I want to buy this house, and the vendor wants to sell it to a charming young prince like me, so we have to roll with situation as it is.
lynzpower thanks for the tip on the stickies, Ill have a read through them.
Ill let you know what the out come is.....

My brother put in an offer on a house last year, the survey showed that the guttering was damaged and a problem with the flat roof over the kitchen. He talked to the vendor about this, she got quotes for the work required to rectify this. He suggested lowering his offer so he could get the work done, or her getting the work done and him still offering at the original price. They went with the latter, the work was done (soon, as she was keen to sell!), vendor got the original offer price and my brother got a nice house!0
