Morning Diz, glad the arrangements for the party are coming together, I think doing the catering yourself is a good MSE move. Look at your June challenge money, that's mounting up nicely and there was you being all negative at the beginning of the challenge and saying you couldn't make very much.
E-bay has been slow woth me lately as well. I sold a few items last night and I've got about 20 items ending today with a few watchers. I get really huffy when I've got a watcher and then they don't buy. What is the point of watching?????
Gonna have a read around now before I go to work. Catch you later hun.0 -
Just updating. Off to the farm tomorrow for our school day out so will be wearing my wellies!
Not much else to report. Feeling really fed-up. Some days I feel ok and others I just feel so tired. Looks like I'll get Fridays off though. The deputy head said I just need to put it in writing and she'll plan my timetable around the four days. Hmmm will be a fair bit of my wage gone I suppose, but I think I'll really benefit from only working four days. On fridays I can do any charity stuff I want, and maybe use it to keep on top of the washing, tidying, meal-planning etc. In theory!
I know if I don't go for it I'll regret it and should think myself lucky that we don't depend on my wage except for shopping and bits which as you know I'm useless at. If only I had more willpower. After DDs birthday bash I should concentrate on getting shut of the overdraft in time for September when I'll be working 4 days not 5.
Better get off to bed now. Really tired.
Keep well everyone and thanks for all your support.:)

Morning Diz, well done on negotiating the day off. I'd love to have a day off in the week when the kids are in school to do all the 'housey' things. The weekends go so quickly and all I seem to do is clean!
Hope the day at the farm goes well. I can't say I envy you, only once I went on a school tripas a helper. Enough said. Never volunteered again0 -
Hope your day has gone well Dizzy. Some things such as personal time are much more important than the extra money.:j0

Thought I'd better update. DD has now said she doesn't want a party but a barbecue in the garden the day after her birthday which will be a Friday. So had to cancel the party. They were fine about it and I didn't have to pay anything bcause we cancelled in time. Kids eh?! Chop and change their mind like the weather. It's her choice though and I want her to enjoy what she chooses.
Ebay sales going ok on 'buy it now' Made my £200 target and a bit over. Never ever expected to reach it so very pleased about that. Going to go for it again in July and will be happy if I reach £100. Should have some money from Greasypalm so that will start me off.
Got a few books also on Amazon but so far nothing going. Fingers crossed though.
The farm trip was ok I guess. Had a good chat with one of the workers there and of course with it being a working farm most of the animals will be sold for slaughter. At least he seemed a caring lad and did say it upsets him especially when you get favourites. The calves were beautiful and I did a lot of stroking with one. He said how intelligent the animals were and he's seen it with his own eyes when the cows cry when their calves are taken from themIt rained all morning but brightened up in the afternoon. Over for another year now.
Was in school yesterday for the Summer Fair so don't feel like I've had a full weekend off. Sold every single item on my 'white elephant stall'
Ah well better get off to bed now. It'll soon be morning.
Keep well and luvz to all.

Hi there Diz, wow look at your total. See what you can do when you put your mind to it
Maybe the barbeque will work out cheaper, or maybe not if your going to be providing the alcohol!!!!! As long as it makes DD happy that's the main thing isn't it.
Hey, you've only got a few more weeks in school before the summer holidays, you lucky thing. I've not booked any time off yet. Will try and get a week off sometime in August. May even tag the BH weekend onto the end of it.
Hope you have a good day. Catch you later.0 -
Hi GR...counting down to the Summer break. Less than 3 weeks now, then 6 weeks of bliss.
Rebooked DDs party tonight. Had a chat, along with her brother and went to see them at the venue. They were fine about it and rebooked the room and the DJ. Have sorted out a menu with a friend of mine who's dad got us the venue and she'll be a huge help. So now it's getting all the invites and decorations etc sorted. DD said she actually feels excited about it all now.
Now we've just got DS saying he doesn't want to go on his Italy trip because it's too much money, now we've already paid £100 deposit. OH has had a chat and told him not to worry about that, if we couldn't afford it we wouldn't have said he could go but he's got it into his head that he'd rather it was spent on us all going somewhere. Bless him. I must admit it's lovely that they think like this but it's also frustrating. We never mentioned anything about the cost to him. Another payment is due so we don't know what to do. I don't want to force him to go and he said there's no other reason except the cost of it. He's adamant he's not going!!!
On to other things...ebay still doing well for me. Posted 7 parcels today and one to post tomorrow. Possibly two if an item bought is paid tonight. Rather that was tomorrow then I can add it to my July total
Going for a dip now and a chill out.
Catch everyone tomorrow.

Morning Diz, e-bay has picked up for me since the weekend. Its usually the weekends that are busy and the weeks quiet but there seems to be sme reversal going on there this week.
Glad the party is sorted, Aaahhhh bless DS for thinking that, kids can be so sensitive yet so horrible on times can't they? Give him a few more days to think about it, he may still change his mind.
I'm glad you've deicded to carry on with the challenge, you did so well last month and you didn't even start at the beginning of the month did you? Hopefully you can make the £100 and maybe even more.
Am quite tired again today, not sleeping at all well at the moment yet don't know why, I've got no major issues on my mind right now so there's nothing going on there subconsciously.
Off to work now so catch you later hun x0 -
Hello
What a sweetie your DS is thinking of a family break shame about his timing though!
I believe both of your June totals sooo good. Of course I can beat it by the car selling for 2k+ but I wouldnt want to brag :rotfl:.
Pretty much run out of things to sell here just the car boot stuff including the fresh freecycle things to go through.
Hope you both well off to check out GRs thread.:j0 -
Ah well, time to update.
Today DD and I have chose the decorations for her party and the place we bought them from go to the venue and set it all up for you...easy!
DD also designed her own invitations which so far have cost me £35.98 in printing ink and £5.94 in glossy paper  But I have to say they are brilliant!!
Got a few things on ebay too so hope these do well, or at least go LOL
Oh good news too... I have definately got Fridays off when I go back to school in September :j
This is going to make such a difference to me. I'll have the time to do some voluntary work and I hope to get more visits to art gallerys and such in.
Going to do a list now like Wendy and GR
Hoover our bedroom and a [STRIKE]quick tidy[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Quick tidy in the bathroom[/STRIKE]
Tidy dining table
Right off to do these now.
