Changing tariff overcharge

In August I changed my tariff on Tmobile from flext30 to flext 50 to allow me to have more credit. My bill then showd that this was not changed and ever since then I have been receiving bills for flext30 and goig way over my credit. This has now been passed to a debt collection agency as Tmobile did not make the reuested chang and I was disputing my bill. Does anyone else have this trouble?
