Okay ! Have been using the shower on low setting for weeks now, slow flow but right temperature. Just tried it on high (which before, got far too hot, even on low temp on dial) Don't know whether it's sorted itself but it seems ok now on high setting. Am still going to check the shower head but don't think it's scaled up, it's an Eco Camel shower head (water saving thing) not had a problem with it, had it about 2 years. Do agree that it's probably on it's last legs though, don't think i'd risk doing anything myself (single mum!) last time i tried to thaw frozen pipes, ended up with massive burst pipe inside newly installed kitchen units ! I'll stick to cooking and general housework ! Thanks for all the advice, might be back again tomorrow xxxxxx0
