BT broadband price query

been with BT B/band since Nov 05 on option 2 (at £22.99 pm)or so i thought. I was checking my online account and realised that I'm actually getting option 1 (worth £17.99pm) spoke to BT yesterday who said it was an error and that they would get back to me today, which of course they didn't. I'm really ANGRY as I'm really struggling to pay off arrears on my bill so I can change to another provider. What should I do?

Also they said that I exceeded my 2GB download limit by watching online streaming videos, I thought that as long as I didn't download or save anything it wouldn't affect my download limit. Is this true?

Can't really help with your argument with BT but I would suggest that you read this thread regarding your usage. All internet activity i.e. browsing, e-mail will use up your download limit, regardless of if you save anything.

Thanks for that expresso. I had no idea that just being online contributrd to usage. Have downloade netmeter and will keep an eye on things. still not sure what to do about BT bill tho'

any piece of information that you receive from the internet is a download

if BT made a mistake, they should backdate your usage, and make adjustments to your bill, since it was their mistake, however, if they've been billing you £5 less a month, they'll want that too
