  • Appreciate the point re watchers I have had stuff fly with 3 watchers and not sell with 15!
  • a bit late now but the easiest way is to just end the auction and re-list with the BIN price that she wants to pay.

watchers mean absolutely nothing though. Watchers aren't bidders, just people who are interested in the auction for one reason or another.
No, the easiest and cheapest way to sell at the start price is end auction after she bids and 'sell to highest bidder'

Don't pay for a needless bin when it's just the start price.

It's agreeing to sell at the start price that's the risk, as you say, SG, as watchers may not bid

I don't think OP wanted to sell at start price though, in her OP she says she thinks it is worth more than start price.

yeah i took it to mean that the buyer and potential seller had agreed on a price and she wanted to add a BIN to the auction.

That's right, OP did say that and also in first post, said 'I've had a request for a BIN at the starting price'

Whether or not it's a good idea to sell at the start price, I was pointing out that paying extra for a BIN at the start price is a needless expense when you can end auction and 'sell to highest bidder'. Auction ends at the start price.

The problem with the situation though MissG is that since the auction isn't bid up as far as the seller would like then they can't arrange for the price to rise to what the best BIN price would be without someone else bidding the first bidder up.

So that would only work if OP were to want to sell at the price the auction has reached, which isn't the case. You have more control with being able to upload a BIN.

You're right, thanks cq, I was getting a bit pedantic, trying to point out how to save the price of a BIN and losing the big picture:)

I'll go and have a nice cup of tea now:)
