Lola lemon there was a big thread last year (or the year before, I have no memory) about a elf being sent from Santa in the run till Christmas.

Coiuld you do that with your son? People has a great time with it (elves in fridges, having picnics with teddies etc) and it'll be really special to him and much more exciting to talk about that gadgets!

I'll try and find the thread but if anyone else can remember it can they post the link? I'm hopeless at that sort of thing.........

This. I live mid-terrace and both sides are renovating at the moment. One side isn't too bad, think it's just redecorating but the other seems to be gutting the place. They work with heavy equipment until quite late, was gone 10pm one night! Seriously considering reporting them to the council, but hoping that the darker evenings will send them home earlier now.

Oh, and a Kenwood Chef or Kitchenaid. :o

Same mid terrace here, but with constant rows and shouting next door. Someone in there is going to have a stroke or bust a gut or something, really awful.

You have my sympathies, the previous owner took down EVERY interior wall a few years ago to make it all open plan ( why???) it's like an echo chamber now.

    Please Santa send quiet people.

    Thank you soo much!

I make my own advent calendar, its little stocking bunting and I put activates in as well as sugary treats, like if I book for panto for say the 18th, then I put a little glittery slip of paper saying 'spend day with x, y & mummy at booing the wicked step mum at Cinderella' or 'bake cookies for neighbours' or 'make Christmas decorations with mummy' all on days that I know we can do them. Even simple things like have a DVD night. I also incorporated what was happening at nursery - today their will be a special visitor, I wonder who it can be, Ho Ho Ho! Or putting a special show on for mummy and gran with all the other boys n girls...
This year will be better as he will understand it better

Can't wait to incorporate the elf in to.

Sounds fabulous, imagine the memories he'll have of Christmas, they'll stay with him for ever.

Don't forget a ticket for the elf for the panto :)

I have often asked for a batch of books from a charity shop - because i like to read them in the bath and don't feel i can do that with new ones.

I also like smellies - usually i get enough to last the year so i don't have to buy them.

But this year i really want a magimix! :D
I wanna be in the room where it happens
