Well, my Birthday wishlist consists of warm clothing items like thermal socks, earmuffs, slipper socks, balaclava, arm warmers etc etc. A lot of wish my Mum already bought, and gave me on my last visit hom (as I won't be back before my Birthday). They are still in their bag at the moment. Want to try and hold out for as long as possible, but if I need to use them sooner, so be it.February wins: Theatre tickets0

If anyone wants to get me a Yule present (we don't actually do presents in our house;)) I'd like a decent teak-handled knife set. I find for some reason I get on better with wooden-handled knives (although truth be told, I'm dangerous with any knife:D). I have just the one with a teak handle, which belonged to Mr LW before I met him, is many, many years old, and has been sharpened so many times that the blade is quite a funny shape now. It's still the knife I choose first, for just about any task where I need to use one, though. It just feels better in my hand than any other type of handle. *shrugs* OK, so I'm weird....:rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

I'd like boundless energy and WILLPOWER - so I can resist chocolate and puddings!!I'd like to meet someone and fall in love again.
I would like a deep fat fryer. It dawned on me the other day that i still buy oven chips for a quick meal and we have so many potatoes that i store for the winter (i know you can make your own oven chips but mine never seem to turn out right...don't know why though as my potato wedges are lovely)0 -
I'd like craft stuff too , for scrapbooking . My husband buys me lovely things and I'm a very lucky woman . A lot of the things are from list that I give him tho', so he can't go too far wrong !! Last year he bought me a topaz pendant as a surprise . He forgot that he'd bought me a very similar one a few years ago . Very nice ( too expensive tho'! ) but showed him the one I already had + he got a refund . I chose something else , much cheaper , that I liked , a win -win situation. Nothing I really need . A happy day for our family + our 4 lovely grandchildren would be great.0

I feel really happy, because I can't actually think of anything - like you I'm going off track wishing for a happy day and a healthy year ahead for loved ones, nothing that could be packaged.0

I would like a second hand sewing machine and some lessons!
I often wish I could sew, but I have been put off by the fact that the only time I tried to use a sewing machine (my sister's), I broke it!Cogito, ergo sum.0 -
I was going to say a cleaning lady and a good but cheap house painter that is also willing to move furniture. Then I thought that a better deal would be a new disc for my back because then I could do all the above myself and that would be more moneysaving in the long run.Val.0

LameWolf - snap! I have a wooden handled genuine Sabatier knife, 25 yrs old and with a funny shaped blade from sharpening. What I'd really like is a bread knife that works as well as those you see chefs on TV using - their slicing always seems effortless and produces perfect slices."Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain." ~ Vivian Greene0
