    Hi raven,

You should get more help with this on the Health, Beauty & Fashion MoneySaving board so I've moved your thread over there.

Believe it or not - OIL

Your skin makes more oil usually because of the harsh ingredients you are using on it are stripping it of its natural oil so it goes into over drive producing more oil.

Even soap will have this effect

Do a search on here for the OCM - Oil cleansing method - plenty of threads

    And here http://www.theoilcleansingmethod.com/

Couple of things that may help first of all see this thread for an everyday solution to sliding make up https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3150540

and secondly I recommend Revlon Colourstay Foundation for oily skin and Boots Essentials mosituriser/cleanser/eye cream etc in cumcumber, buy the ones in the tubes (lotions) not the tubs (creams) as they are too heavy, in fact this is a good rule generally for skincare for oily skin and thirdly, try to appreciate your skin as when you reach wrinkle age if you have looked after it you will look great compared to those with dryer skins - hth:)

I cant do that hun without seeing you:o but I wear sand beige the third lightest, I am pink toned but choose to play this down with a light yellow based foundation, the foundation for oily skin is more yellow based in this range so would probably be best for you, dd wears the lightest one (can only find it in superdrug) which is pinker but she likes to play down her very light yellow based skin, the pink in the foundation gives her a glow. So it depends on what you want to do, most people like to match exactly, to find a good colour go to a MAC counter get them to match you and get a sample then go off to Boots or wherever and match it to the Revlon, a quick tip to find out if you are cool, neutral or warm toned is to look at the inside of your wrists and see what colour the veins are, blue you are cool (pink based), green is warm(yellow tones) and mixed is neutral. The only way to get the colour you want is to put it on your bare face in the direct daylight - good luck:)

That looks a good choice:) you can lighten it slightly if you need to with moisturiser or whatever you fancy (I sometimes use wrinkle filler:rotfl:) its such a great product because you can mix it and still get really good coverage and staying power, which is important for us with oily skin:)
