What is wrong except the 'legalities' with burning bituminous coal in a standard multi-fuel burner? I can get 1 tonne of bit for £200 whereas 1 tonne of Esse A would cost £300.

Naturally I would rather buy the cheapest and if I can destroy my neighbours' air quality then 'win-win' but what are the main problems with not burning smokeless in a stove? Indeed, are there any? Eg does the stove pipe clog up quicker with bit?

I also am led to believe the flame is a nicer colour with bit and so would want to go down that route.:money:
