    I was with Smile before and I thought they were good, but FD are even better.

    I sent a few questions to Smile on Monday as part of my Pre-custom Quality Check[TM] and still have no response. Lame.

    I hope your credit history is excellent.

    It is excellent...thanks for the comment.

    An update;
    thanks for the very helpful comments. I went ahead and opened 2 1st accounts, took a few minutes with an instant acceptance. Debit cards arrived 2 days later followed by cheque book etc.

    Im very impressed so far!

    Thank you for the person who offered me a referral card, I wouldnt feel safe sharing private details with someone I dont know. I appreciate the offer though.

    I opened an account when I was 19 (two years ago). Last year I started university but still decided to stay with them and they've been great even though I rarely meet their funding criteria (I just use their savings account to get around the fee).

    They are very strict when it comes to lending and you will need a good credit history.
    I did need an extension of my £250 overdraft which they refused due to me being a student, however when I needed £50 extra for a few days until my student loan went in, they allowed this.

    Great bank, great service. :)
