Ever So Proud of Myself!!!!!
Having read most of the information on this site regarding mobile contracts and charges etc I realised I could be getting a much better deal than I am currently tied to.
I currently have an online O2 contract, 200 Xnet minutes, 500 texts, 125 media messages for £30 per month and are due an upgrade. I noticed on the orange website a special student deal where I could get the exact same package with an extra 1000 texts and 50% of all landline calls when my minutes are used up. All this with a free phone included.
So, armed with all my haggling power I called O2 to cancel my contract...after only 3 minutes on the phone I had managed to bag myself the exact same contract, and a free new phone (worth £79.99 for an upgrade), for only £20 a month!
Thanks Martin for all your kind tips, I have now saved myself at least £120 in a year!

I tried to do similar with T-mobile, and they more or less said "bye!". My husband always spends well over £30 per month. So, we will go elsewhere!0
