partner affected by my dire credit rating?

Hi all

I recently entered into a F&F settlement IVA, and my partner was going to borrow the money for the iva, approx £20K.

just started looking for loans, he has an excellent credit rating, checked his credit history reports and all looking good however he's just been turned down by his bank, very frustrating....

just wondering, or have assumed it's because of me that when they do a search on him i flag up somehow as being in an iva - anyone had a similar experience?

Do you and your partner have any joint credit accounts (mortgage, loans, bank accounts etc)? Are you shown as financially associated on your credit reports? If yes then yes your file will impact on his ability to get credit.
