House prices fall for 15th month in a row

Prices going down, always a good thing!0

The news story was factually wrong, sorry if that spoiled things. I will leave it there so you can enjoy the story.
Was it?
Why? Because it showed 0% for one month out of the 15?
If prices reduced by just £1 in that month, compared to the previous, it's a fall, and the article is factually right.0 -

Not only is it a contributer opinion survey that produced the [strike]facts[/strike] opinion, it's now an IF the data said something

Ok, for simplicity.
Shall we say the fifteen months of falls is incorrect...although in 15 months, there have been absolutely no rises? (Which kind of suggests 15 months of falls is correct).
Shall we move past the technicalities and on to the rest of the article?
The ones highlighted?
Or are they just simply going to be ignored, based on the fact there is a dubious technicality in the article over whether 15 months of downward movement is actually 15 months or not?0 -
The article does describe what is happening in my area, but the percentages are larger around here.0

Well they did say their selves there was no change, 0. nothing.
But if you want it to say 15 months of falls you can, if it really is that important to you.House prices were unchanged this month. This is the first time for nine months (since June 2010) that the survey has recorded no price fall.
It's not what they published, but what some jurno said, but don't stop believing.
Wonder what will be said when this survey goes positive? Presumably similar to what was said about it in 2009.
It's the survey tennis forum.0 -

You are missing the crucial point in that it is a survey of contributors opinions and nothing of fact.
Facts are represented by actual sold prices.
You can see this in any sold price index, which clearly shows that there has not been 15 consecutive monthly falls:wall:

Its also an index which measures achieved price. Which I'm pretty sure means sold.

Different methodology maybe, but the results are still a fact.0
