Which mp3 player?

Greetings:
I seek the advice of the Forum!
My elderly aunt has decided that she would like an mp3 player to take away on holiday - nothing too expensive, something simple and straightforward that will keep her in touch with Cliff Richard (!)
She has no computer so we will upload the songs for her. We have an iPod and iTunes, though an iPod will be too expensive/overkill for her. I've done some research and understand that it is possible to copy songs from iTunes to a non-Mac mp3 player.
She will be taking the mp3 player overseas, so it will need to be able to be recharged from the mains (220v and 110v) not from a USB port.
I'd appreciate any advice and recommendations - there seems to be so many to choose from.

By non-mac I meant non Macintosh i.e. not an i player.
I see that the Sony that you recommend charges from the USB port (my aunt has no computer) - however, a mains/USB adapter would be fine.0 -

Sorry I was being pedantic - though I think you mean Apple and Ipod."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -
I read somewhere iTunes doesn't like syncing content onto some non-iPod mp3 devices.
If you are sure it will, fine, but might be worth double checking.0 -

Yes that's what I meant! Guess I should have been clearer in the first instance.
Thanks for your help.0 -
I have this, though some say the volume is low

I've read that if you copy the songs from iTunes to a desktop folder then copy to the mp3 player then this should work - this removes the DRM protection.
If anyone can offer any further advice on this I'd be grateful.0 -

Do you have an ipod yourself?
simply use sharepod to extract the music from there onto your desktop then sync it over using the mp3 player you choose to buys software onto the mp3 player."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -
Sonys are good, as is the Sandisk Sansa Clip+, which I've recently moved over to.0
