Does anyone have a Sony Picture Motion Browser Ver 2.0.01 CD that they could lend me?
Mine is broken in 2 and I cannot download the software from the Sony site as it needs my camcorder connected to my computer with a USB cable but my camcorder connects with a firewire cable and dose not even have a USB connection.
It is a DCR-HC45E camcorder.

I don't know. I have only ever used my version.
I have found my version on an old hard disk I kept from my windows XP days but I have no idea how to transfer it onto my windows 7 computer, just copying any known files and folders doesn't work.
And putting that hard disk back into my computer still does not let me download the latest version from Sony.0 -
Have seen 2.0.02 but it does not mention your camera
The USB connection is on the handycam station0 -
number 10 on the page is for the USB connection.
for DCR-HC37E

Yes I know, but even though my computer knows there is a USB device connected, Sony's crappy download manager doesn't.
I have been trying to get the software from the Sony site but Sony's crappy download manager won't let me download it. Hence my request for the CD.0 -
I noticed that and edited the post, page 71 has a handycam station for your camera
2.0.02 is the closest I have seen0 -
Thanks but the link you have posted takes me to the crappy download manager which is what is causing the problem.
Even with my camcorder connected to my computer with a USB cable the crappy download manager still refuses to acknowledge that me camcorder is connected.
I get as far as the picture that shows the connections then when I click start I get an error message that my camcorder is not connected yet I can use it in MSN messenger as a video link.
If you could upload the CD I would be grateful, how does that work?0 -

Yet I can see my smiling face on my monitor at the same time as I am getting the message it is not connected.0
