wot-a-mess debt crisis

Thanks for the nice comments Iga & Been. I just wish everyone on here who needs money badly could also get a tax rebate or some other form of unexpected income.
Just done a quick budget for Nov. & money is tight but the tax rebate means that with some frugal planning & no bad luck with domestic appliances blowing up or anything unforseen, Nov. may be much better for debt-busting than I had envisaged.
Need to think of some short-term goals for Nov.Pay off £14,000 in 2012 Challenge #21 (incl. mort.) £15,960/£14,0000 -
Its been 4 weeks since LMB & a bit of an emotional roller-coaster to put it mildly. In some ways it seems much longer than 4 weeks cos of all the time spent on MSE. I feel the main successes have been:
1. Have not used any credit cards for anything
2. Had quite a few "no-spend" days
3. Do budgets & try a hard as possible to stick to them
4. Made a small amount of extra £s (This really needs to improve tho)
5. Reduced debt by £843 (future months likely to be approx. £500 p.m)
Thanks to everyone who has been so supportive & positive thus far & I really do hope you all mange to beat the debt.
I personally have a pretty long haul but thanks to all your words of support & comfort I now believe it is possible to become debt-free one day.
Mini-goals for this coming week:
1. Try to make as much extra £s a possible
2. Do not use credit cards
3. Have a few "no-spend" days
4. Do not buy anything that is not really requiredPay off £14,000 in 2012 Challenge #21 (incl. mort.) £15,960/£14,0000 -

You've made great progress WAM and in such a short time
. Fingers crossed for an equally successful November
.
Have you got any plans for money making for November? I've just re 'activated' my 0nepoll account. I hadn't been on there for ages as it was just so booooooooooooring lol, but I decided I had to get back to it. I've got £13.10 in there, so only another £26.90 or two years to go to pay out :rotfl:.

Thanks again Iga & Been for your support.
I've been thinking a lot about the debt-busting "adventure" & all the advice received so far, etc. & think mini-goals defo the way forward. Gonna try to spend as little as possible on daily spends & recreational alcohol this month (under £100) & try to earn over £100 in extra £s. Good start with a £5 fuel voucher today. Good start to the month. £5 morrisons fuel voucher, £10 sports voucher, £25 profit from a slots "free spin" promo (see GIOL on here). Also waiting on £6 from surveys to hit bank a/c & Tesco points vouchers from postman.
Hoping that sufficient extra £s can be made between now & year end to help pay towards xmasPay off £14,000 in 2012 Challenge #21 (incl. mort.) £15,960/£14,0000 -

Keep up the good work!Full LBM 26 Sept 110 -
Thanks Beccie & Been
So far this month managed to make £43.50 extra £s & only spent £1.90. Have targets of £100 each for making extra £s & general everyday spends. The theory being extra £s to cover daily living costs.
THE biggest factor so far in the debt-busting mission is reducing spending. What a difference it really makes. We have gone from overspending every month to starting to reduce debt. e.g. the weekly shop is no longer a reckless "if you want it buy it" crusade. Plus buying beer or wine a few times midweek just for the sake of it really is not required & has therefore stopped. Also better for health apparentlyPay off £14,000 in 2012 Challenge #21 (incl. mort.) £15,960/£14,0000 -
WAM - great news on the refund :j - things like that can really give you a boost & what a great start to the month

This I fear is my downfall- really need to "up" my game on this part!
